Türkiye: Israel’s destabilizing policy in the region is drawing everyone towards the fire.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan warned of the Zionist regime’s destabilizing actions and their dire consequences for the region, according to Anadolu Agency.
Fidan said: “Our message is clear on both Gaza and Syria: in the absence of peace and stability in the region, we cannot guarantee anyone’s security. Israel must stop its destabilizing policies while there is still time.”
He warned that Israel’s policies are dangerous not only for the region but also for Israel itself, adding, “This is a situation that is drawing everyone towards the fire. The international community, especially the United States, Europe, and regional countries, must act with great sensitivity and tell Israel to stop its actions. Otherwise, the region is likely to face unpleasant consequences.”
The Turkish diplomat, noting that there are countries in the region and also outside the region, especially the United States, that are closely involved in this issue, said that Ankara is in constant contact with all parties.
Referring to Israel’s attacks on Damascus, the capital of Syria, and the unofficial policy of destabilization in the region, he said that Tel Aviv pursues a policy that is fundamentally based on Israeli interests without respecting the laws, principles, rights,, and sovereignty of other countries and disregards the territorial integrity of the region.
Referring to the Zionist regime’s position, which is contrary to the will and wishes of all parties, the Turkish Foreign Minister called it unacceptable and said that Turkey is in close contact with the countries of the region and recalled that Ankara has always been in close cooperation with Amman since the incidents near the Jordanian border.
Fidan continued: “We are also in close contact with Tom Barak, the US special envoy for Syria.” At the same time, through our intelligence organization, we have conveyed our concerns, opinions, and suggestions on this issue to the Israelis. We have made it clear that we do not want instability in the region.
