Türkiye warns of suspicious moves to divide Syria.
According to Anadolu Agency, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan warned in a televised interview on Friday that Ankara had observed movements in the north, south, east, and west of Syria after clashes broke out between tribesmen and Druze in the province of Sweida.
He added: “Turkey has warned of the risk of Syria’s disintegration in light of the abuse of the situation in Sweida. We must raise these warnings because we want a united Syria.”
Fidan said: “The Syrian issue is important for Turkey’s national security. We have always seen that some parties may benefit from the disintegration and instability of Syria. They want Syria to remain in a cycle of despair and hopelessness. Israel also has such a goal. Netanyahu has made it clear that he does not have a positive opinion about the stability of Syria.
