PNN – Referring to the security developments in Syria, the Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized Ankara’s support for the country’s government in maintaining stability and the need to protect Syria’s territorial integrity.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, in an interview with Al Jazeera Mubasher, Turkey’s Deputy Foreign Minister said: Ankara supports the Syrian government in its efforts to resolve security problems and maintain stability.

Emphasizing the importance of Syrian unity, he added: The extension of the central government’s sovereignty over the territorial integrity of this country is essential to ensure lasting stability.

The Turkish official also stated that Türkiye opposes any action aimed at creating separatist entities, especially in northern Syria.

In recent days, following the ceasefire agreement between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the process of transferring control of parts of the north and east of the country to the Golan regime has been underway, and within this framework, Turkey has also publicly supported this course of events.

At the same time, Ankara has repeatedly reiterated its position in rejecting any formation of a separatist institution or entity in northern Syria and has emphasized the need for armed groups to join the unified Syrian military structure.

It is worth noting that the several-day ceasefire between Damascus and the SDF has been extended for a longer period, and talks are continuing to implement the security agreement and integrate forces, which could set a new roadmap for regional management of the Syrian crisis.
