According to Anatolia news agency, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said in a joint press conference with Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi in Ankara today: Turkey is also interested in the current case (genocide of the occupied Jerusalem) in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) which opened by South Africa, will join.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey stated: In the meetings he made in line with his trip to Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, some countries announced that they are ready to take a stand on the South African genocide case against Israel.
Pointing out that so far only Nicaragua and Colombia have taken a concrete position on this case, he clarified: We also presented the results of our evaluations to our president today, and I would like to announce for the first time in accordance with the political decision made here. do As Turkey, we have decided to join the case that South Africa has brought against Israel (regime) at the International Court of Justice.
Hakan Fidan added: We hope that with this step, the process before the International Court of Justice will go in the right direction. As I mentioned earlier, we have been working on this program for a very long time.
Turkish Foreign Minister continued: After the president takes this political decision and announces it to the whole world, we will complete our legal work. In the meantime, we will continue to work with all friendly and allied countries to see what more can be done on this issue and which countries can come forward.
