Türkiye’s request to America to stop cooperating with terrorists in Syria.
According to Al Jazeera, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the telephone conversation of “Hakan Fidan” with his American counterpart “Anthony Blinken” about the downing of a Turkish drone in northern Syria.
Reuters news agency quoted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey and added that in a telephone conversation with Blinken, Fidan emphasized the necessity of stopping the cooperation of the United States with the People’s Defense Units (YPG) group and supporting it in northern Syria.
The Turkish Foreign Minister emphasized in a conversation with his American counterpart that Ankara will continue its operations to fight terrorism in Iraq and Syria with all its strength.
Fidan also emphasized the need to activate a mechanism to prevent conflict in northern Syria without hitting the war with terrorist organizations.
Informed sources announced that the United States on Thursday shot down a Turkish military drone that was carrying out operations against the positions of Kurdish groups over Syria’s al-Hasakah province. The Pentagon also announced that the American F-16 fighter shot down the Turkish drone half a kilometer away from the headquarters of the American forces in Syria.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey also announced that the operations of the country’s army forces in the framework of the fight against terrorism were not affected by the downing of one of the country’s drones in northern Syria.
