PNN – Ukraine’s State Security Service claimed in a statement that long-range drones belonging to the Alpha Special Operations Center destroyed two fighter jets in an attack on the Belbek military airfield.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Interfax, long-range drones of the Alpha Special Operations Center affiliated with Ukraine’s State Security Service (SBU) targeted two Sukhoi Su-27 aircraft at Russia’s Belbek military airfield in Crimea.

The Ukrainian State Security Service claimed on its Telegram channel: This service targeted two Russian Su-27 aircraft at Belbek airfield… One of the aircraft, fully loaded with munitions, was on the move and ready for a combat sortie when it was destroyed.

The statement added that the estimated cost of the two aircraft is about 70 million dollars.

Interfax claimed that the control tower was also hit, which could complicate the organization and control of flights at the airfield. This is the second successful attack by Ukraine’s State Security Service on Belbek airfield in recent days. On December 18, the service’s drones attacked Russian equipment worth hundreds of millions of dollars at this airfield: two Nebo-SVU radars, one 92N6 radar of the S-400 Triumph air defense system, one Pantsir-S2 air defense system, and a MiG-31 aircraft with a full load of munitions were destroyed.
