Ukrainian parliament expresses ‘sincere gratitude’ to Trump in a message.

According to Reuters, following Friday’s verbal and public altercation at the White House between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and Zelensky’s expulsion from the White House, the Ukrainian parliament expressed gratitude in a message for the provision of US military and security assistance packages, as well as Trump himself.

In the message, which was posted in English on the Ukrainian parliament’s media service, the institution recalled that US assistance, as a strategic partner of Ukraine in the most challenging period in its history, has always been decisive among Kiev’s international allies.

In part, the message reads: On behalf of the people of this country, the Ukrainian parliament sincerely thanks President Donald Trump, the Congress and the people of the United States for their firm and constant support for the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as for the security assistance packages provided to Ukraine; support that has contributed significantly to stability on the front lines.

The Ukrainian parliament also added that US support guarantees the country’s security and went on to describe Trump’s efforts to bring peace and end the three-year war with Russia as “decisive.”

The message of appreciation, which further confirms the humiliation of Ukraine at the hands of the US, was released a few days after the controversial events at the White House. Another part of the message reads: “The Ukrainian people want peace more than anyone else in the world.”

This message comes an hour after Reuters reported that the US had “suspended arms aid to Ukraine and is reviewing the delivery of this aid to ensure that it is effective in achieving a solution.” According to Bloomberg, the suspension of aid will remain in place until Trump concludes that Kiev “demonstrates a commitment to peace in good faith.”
