UN agency: Israelis torture detainees

PNN – An agency affiliated to the United Nations reported the torture of prisoners in the prison of the Zionist regime by elements of this regime.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoted by Al Jazeera, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) in a statement accused the Zionist regime of torturing the detained employees of this agency in the Gaza Strip.

In this statement, it is stated that UNRWA agency employees talk about terrible events during their arrest and interrogation by the Zionist soldiers.

The UNRWA agency stated that these reports indicate that the Zionist soldiers tortured the detained people and treated them very badly and even subjected them to sexual harassment.

According to this statement, a number of UNRWA employees have informed the officials of this agency that confessions were taken from them under the torture of the Zionist military to say that they were in contact with the Hamas movement.

UNRWA announced that it has protested against the action of the Zionist regime in detaining its employees, but has not received any response.

This UN agency emphasized that hundreds of those who were arrested by the Zionist forces in the occupied territories were subjected to torture and ill-treatment.

Before this, the American newspaper New York Times had published a report of UNRWA’s investigation about the treatment of Palestinian prisoners by the Zionist regime.
