PNN – The United Nations announced that more than 18,500 sick and wounded in the Gaza Strip, including 4,000 children, still require urgent transfer to receive treatment outside the area.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Stephane Dujarric, spokesman for the UN Secretary-General, said during a press conference: The restrictions imposed on crossings and the severe slowdown in the medical coordination process have put the lives of thousands of people at risk.

He added: Cases that require immediate transfer include war wounded, cancer patients, patients with kidney failure, and children with complex congenital anomalies who cannot be treated within the region due to the collapse of the health system in Gaza.
