UN reporter: Israel should be sanctioned

PNN – The UN Special Rapporteur, pointing out that the Israel did not comply with the ruling of the International Court of Justice regarding refraining from genocide in the Gaza Strip, demanded the imposition of sanctions against this regime.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoted by SAMA news agency, Michael Fakhri, the UN special rapporteur on the right to food, said: The Zionist regime bombards convoys carrying humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip; While he knows which area they are moving towards.

The Zionist army recently attacked the Palestinian refugees who were waiting to receive humanitarian aid on al-Rashid Street in Gaza City, which left more than a hundred martyrs and nearly a thousand wounded. During this time, the humanitarian aid convoy has been the target of attacks by the Zionist army many times.

The UN Special Rapporteur on the right to food emphasized: It is clear that Israel does not want any aid to reach the needy people of Gaza.

Pointing out that the Zionist regime has launched a hunger war against the Gaza Strip, he said: Israel should be sanctioned for ignoring the initial ruling of the International Court of Justice.

In its initial ruling, the International Court of Justice has asked the Zionist regime to take all necessary measures to prevent the genocide in Gaza.

Earlier, the World Food Program (WFP) affiliated with the United Nations announced that the Israeli regime forces have prevented the delivery of 14 trucks carrying food to people in the northern Gaza Strip.

Carl Skow, Executive Vice President of the World Food Program, announced this news and said: Air distribution of aid is the last way to prevent famine.

He added: It is necessary to open the entry points of northern Gaza to provide food to half a million people who are in dire need of it.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director of the World Health Organization, wrote on the X social network (former Twitter) that the visit of the officials of this organization to Al-Awda and Kamal Adwan hospitals in the north of Gaza in recent days shows the severe lack of food and fatal malnutrition of children.

He wrote that the results of visiting these hospitals have scary and ominous findings and the lack of food led to the death of 10 children and very high levels of malnutrition in these two hospitals, whose buildings and facilities were destroyed during the attacks of the Israeli army (regime).
