PNN – Francesca Albanese described approval of the Cairo for the gas purchase agreement with the Israeli regime as Egypt’s support for the Israeli genocide in Gaza.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting Quds News Agency, Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur, strongly criticized the gas agreement between Egypt and Israel, saying the deal reflects Cairo’s astonishing backing of Tel Aviv in the genocide of Palestinians.

Albanese added that Egypt can say whatever it wants, but purchasing $35 billion worth of gas from Israel violates international law.
She emphasized that the agreement is a striking indication of support for Israel in the ongoing genocide of Palestinians.
On her X (formerly Twitter) account, Albanese called on countries not to prioritize economic gains over human values.
In May, Albanese had also demanded that senior European Union officials, including Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, face charges for complicity in Israeli war crimes in Gaza and for supporting Israel during its aggression against Gaza.
The gas agreement between Egypt and Israel, recently approved, is the largest contract in Israel’s history, valued at $35 billion.
