PNN – The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) warned about the daily increase in the number of child martyrs in Gaza, saying that the area has become a children’s cemetery.
According to Pakistan News Network, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) warned on Tuesday (October 31) about the increasing number of child victims in the Gaza Strip.
In a UN press conference in Geneva, James Elder, the spokesperson of UNICEF, lamented that the number of children killed in Gaza has exceeded 3,450 and said: Our biggest fear about (increasing) the number of children killed from tens to hundreds and thousands was realized in just two weeks.
He added: It is surprising that these numbers increase significantly every day. Gaza has become a children’s cemetery. For anyone else, life is hell.

Elder reiterated UNICEF’s call for an immediate ceasefire and access to humanitarian supplies in Gaza, saying that children in Gaza are dying not only from airstrikes but also from a lack of medical care.
He said that “threats against children are more than bombs” and stressed that water and trauma are other threats that the residents of Gaza are facing. According to this UN official, more than one million children in Gaza are facing a water crisis, “therefore, the death of children due to lack of water, especially the death of infants due to this, is a growing threat.”
The Ministry of Health of Gaza announced on Tuesday that the number of martyrs in the Gaza Strip due to the attacks of the Zionist regime has reached 8525 people, 3542 of them are children and 2187 of them are women.
Also today, “Philippe Lazzarini”, the head of the United Nations Special Relief Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA), warned that the immediate ceasefire in Gaza has become a matter of life and death for millions of people. This UN official emphasized that the aid convoys that have entered Gaza from Egypt through the Rafah crossing in recent days are insignificant compared to the needs of more than two million people who are trapped in Gaza.
Despite Tel Aviv’s genocide in Gaza and the dire humanitarian situation in this region, Western countries, including the United States and England, have refused to support the ceasefire under the pretext that it will disrupt the ability of the Zionist regime to defend itself.
Instead, they claim, they are trying to stop humanitarian aid from reaching Gaza. In the midst of the West’s support for the crimes of the interim Zionist regime, Benjamin Netanyahu said last night that Israel will not accept the ceasefire because it means surrendering to Hamas.
