PNN – United Nations peacekeeping forces in southern Lebanon, UNIFIL, announced that attacks by the Israeli regime on southern Lebanon constitute a violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting Al Jazeera, the temporary UN peacekeeping forces in southern Lebanon, known as UNIFIL, warned that Israel’s airstrikes in our area of operations in southern Lebanon violate Security Council Resolution 1701.

UNIFIL stated that one of their patrols near the town of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon came under gunfire yesterday, and the patrol members were not harmed in this attack.
UNIFIL further added: we call on the Israeli army to use the existing communication and coordination mechanisms. We continue to monitor the situation in southern Lebanon and support Lebanon and Israel in implementing Resolution 1701.
The Israeli regime, yesterday and last night, again violated the ceasefire and, without regard to all international rules and regulations, attacked Lebanon’s sovereignty by targeting the Marounah area in southern Lebanon.
Before this attack, the regime had targeted the Nabi Sheet area in the Bekaa region in eastern Lebanon with a drone.
The Israeli occupiers also attacked the Sha’ra Janta area in Baalbek in eastern Lebanon and targeted a building in the Jbaa area in southern Lebanon with an airstrike.
