United Nations: Conflicts in Sudan have killed thousands of people.
According to Sputnik, the UN fact-finding mission in Sudan announced the death of thousands of civilians and the displacement of millions of Sudanese people after nearly a year of war and conflict in Sudan.
In this regard, Stephen Dujarric, the spokesperson of the United Nations Secretary-General, said: More than 6 million people have been displaced inside Sudan, and nearly 2 million others have fled to neighboring countries. Also, nearly 24 million people in Sudan need help.
Dujarric also stated that next Monday, Paris will host a humanitarian conference on Sudan and its neighbors, and France, Germany, and the European Union will participate in this conference.
He added: that United Nations Assistant Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs, Joyce Mesoya, along with some other UN officials, will participate in this conference and will request an increase in resources to expand relief operations in Sudan and the region.
Dujarric continued: “They will also want to improve the delivery of humanitarian aid so that agencies can deliver life-saving aid to communities in need at the right time.” The Secretary General of the United Nations will also send a video message at this conference.
It should be noted that on April 15, the conflict between the Sudanese army under the command of General Abdul Fattah al-Barhan and the rapid support forces of this country under the command of General Hamidti will be one year old.
