United Nations: Debris removal from the Gaza Strip will probably take 14 years

PNN – The United Nations, referring to the vast amount of devastation in the Gaza Strip following the massive attacks and bombings of the Zionist army, announced that the process of removing the rubble in this area will probably take 14 years.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoted by Russia Elium network, Pierre Ludamar, head of the United Nations demining unit, said: We estimated that there are 37 million tons of debris or about 300 kilograms of debris per square meter in the Gaza Strip.

He added: assuming the use of around 100 trucks, the debris removal will take 14 years.

This UN official also warned: At least 10% of the ammunition fired does not explode, and therefore it is a constant threat to the people, the teams evacuating the victims from under the rubble, as well as the workers who are tasked with removing the debris.

In this regard, news sources reported the extensive destruction of the water and sewerage network of the city of Beit Lahia in the north of the Gaza Strip and the destruction of the agricultural products of this city by the Zionist regime.
