United Nations: If the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip is extended, more aid can be sent.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced that of the 248 trucks carrying humanitarian aid that entered the Gaza Strip since the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas came into force, 61 trucks carrying medical supplies, food, and water delivered their cargoes yesterday Saturday. North Gaza was evacuated.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said in a statement that 11 ambulances, three buses, and a medical bed were specially delivered to the Al-Shifa hospital in northern Gaza, which has witnessed heavy fighting in recent days, to evacuate patients.

The statement emphasized that the longer the ceasefire, the more aid agencies will be able to send to Gaza.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs expressed its gratitude to the Palestinian and Egyptian Red Crescent Society in the aforementioned statement.

On Friday, the United Nations announced the evacuation of 137 trucks carrying food, water, and medicine in the Gaza Strip.

On Saturday (October 15), the Gaza resistance groups started the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation in defense of the Al-Aqsa Mosque against the actions and attacks of the Zionists, during which the resistance was able to penetrate into the lands of 1948. This operation was a combination of land, air, sea, and missile operations, and according to Zionists and observers, it was the most unprecedented anti-Israeli operation in the history of the occupation of Palestinian lands in the past seven decades.

In response to this operation, the Israeli regime frantically targeted Gaza from the ground and the sky, and finally, after nearly 50 days of war against Gaza, a four-day temporary ceasefire was established in Gaza. According to the 4-day ceasefire, any military action by both sides will be stopped during the ceasefire.

It is also planned to release 3 Palestinian women and children for every Israeli prisoner, and 50 Israeli prisoners will be released during the 4 days of the temporary ceasefire.

It is also supposed to send 200 trucks of food and medical equipment to all areas in the Gaza Strip. According to this agreement, 4 trucks of fuel and liquefied gas (for cooking) will be sent to Gaza daily.
