Axios: By intensifying attacks, Israel is trying to pressure Hezbollah to accept a ceasefire

Currently, political consultations are underway to achieve a ceasefire on the front of the Lebanese battle with the aggression of the Israeli regime.

Matthew (Matt) Miller, the spokesman of the State Department of the current President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, claimed that while his country is the biggest supporter of the Israeli regime and its wars in Gaza, Lebanon and the region: We are making progress in the ceasefire negotiations in Lebanon.

The spokesperson of the US State Department told reporters on Monday local time: We are determined to finish the Lebanese ceasefire negotiations and we are achieving progress in the Lebanese ceasefire negotiations.

“Nabieh Bari”, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, who is in charge of leading the negotiations on behalf of Lebanon, has emphasized in his latest position that His country will not agree to any amendment or addition of clauses to Security Council Resolution 1701 in the framework of the draft agreement to achieve a ceasefire on the Lebanese front.

Announcing that he received the draft of the ceasefire agreement from the American ambassador in Beirut, he pointed out the specific clauses of this agreement and said that Lebanon’s final position in this regard will be announced in the coming days.

Bari clarified: it is important to get things done; especially since the experience with the Israelis has never been free of their failures and the successive procrastinations of the Prime Minister of this regime, Benjamin Netanyahu. He faces failure in every attempt, and the proof of that is the situation in the Gaza Strip over the past year. Vigilance is essential here.
