PNN – The latest report of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs known as (OCHA) shows that Israel damages most of the schools in Gaza and uses them as military bases.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network from “Al Jazeera English”, according to this report, at least 67% of Gaza’s schools need complete reconstruction as a result of Israeli attacks.
This report is based on an analysis of satellite images due to access restrictions, including heavy Israeli bombardment and frequent telecommunication outages, especially in northern Gaza.
The report also adds that evidence has been found that “indicates that schools in Gaza are used for military operations by the Israeli military, including Palestinian detention, interrogation centers, and military bases.”
Ocha emphasized in his report that about 38% of all school buildings in Gaza, which number 212 units, have been “directly” targeted by the Israeli army since October 7.

The spokesperson of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) stated that what is happening in Gaza is a war against children and clarified: the current situation in this region is actually a war against children.
James Elder, the spokesman of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), said that what is happening in Gaza is a war against children and that this area is no longer suitable for children.
According to the Palestinian Information Center, he has visited this area twice since the beginning of the war against the Gaza Strip on October 7, and said: All the children of Gaza have suffered from this war and UNICEF emphasizes that the current situation in this region is actually a war against children.
Elder said: Usually, in all crises, it is the wars that affect children more than other age groups, so that they usually make up 20% of the victims of war, but this figure is close to 40% for Gaza, because more than 10 thousand children have been sacrificed since the beginning of this war and this number is increasing.
For the past 170 days, the Israeli army has continuously targeted the Gaza Strip with its air, land and sea attacks, and in addition to killing more than 32,000 Palestinians, it has targeted the infrastructure of this area and created an unprecedented humanitarian disaster against the people of Gaza.
