United Nations: The past 100 days have been 100 years for the residents of Gaza

PNN – On the 100th day of the Gaza War, the director of the Relief and Employment Agency for Palestinian Refugees described the situation in Gaza as catastrophic.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, today is the 100th day of the war in Gaza. The war, which is considered the longest military campaign of the Zionist regime, has caused a full-scale disaster for the 2.3 million residents of Gaza.

In this regard, Philip Lazzarini, director of the Relief and Employment Agency for Palestinian Refugees, said in a statement that Palestinians have been exposed to the largest forced migration since 1948 and 1.4 million Gazans have fled to UNRWA shelters.

He added: “The refugees of Gaza have been forced to live in inhumane conditions. In the last 100 days, Gaza has witnessed death, destruction, migration, hunger and sadness.”

This UN official emphasized that the past 100 days have been the same as 100 years for the residents of Gaza, and now there are few people who are not likely to suffer physical and mental wounds.

However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a speech on Saturday that the army of this regime is carrying out a moral and just war in Gaza, a war that has so far claimed the lives of about 24,000 Palestinians in Gaza, 70% of them are made up of women and children.

On the other hand, Amnesty International recently warned in a statement: “The danger of Gaza turning from an open prison into a large cemetery is being realized before our eyes.”

This international organization added: “All the countries of the world have this international legal obligation to act in order to prevent the genocide in the Gaza Strip.”
