Unusual US military activity at Al-Harir base in northern Iraq.

“From 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. today, the al-Harir base near Erbil, where American forces are stationed, witnessed questionable activity, and according to initial information, seven Chinook helicopters carrying equipment and troops landed there,” the Iraqi al-Ma’aluma news agency reported, citing the unnamed source.

“The landings of these helicopters in consecutive periods indicate that there is a problem. The nature of the cargo they brought to this base is not clear. This base serves as the backbone of logistical support for American bases located throughout Syria,” he added.

“As soon as these helicopters landed, a security alert was imposed in the base’s external watchtowers,” the source said. This indicates that “the cargo transported by the helicopters was important, which prompted the adoption of precautionary measures.”

Al-Harir base in the north and Ain al-Assad base in Anbar province in western Iraq are considered the most important American bases in the country.
