US Attack on Venezuela: What Does the Opposition in South America Say?

The United States attacked Venezuela on Saturday morning in an action that has been met with a wave of international reactions. The Venezuelan government called the action a “military invasion” and, while declaring a state of emergency, called for an urgent meeting of the United Nations Security Council.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife were kidnapped during the attack and transferred to the United States for trial.

This American action, which is completely contrary to international regulations and laws, has been met with great reactions and opposition around the world, especially on the green continent.

Poland

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, referring to the attack, announced that 2026 has begun with a heavy event, and Warsaw is monitoring developments and preparing for the consequences of this new situation.

He noted that at least 11 Polish citizens are currently in Venezuela, despite repeated warnings from the Foreign Minister to avoid traveling to the country.
