US bombers target underground Houthi weapon sites in Yemen.

According to Euro News, “CNN” TV channel reported, quoting some American officials, that the United States used B-2 Spirit bombers for the first time to bomb locations in Yemen.

Based on this, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced on Thursday that the country has carried out several airstrikes against Yemen and has targeted 5 units of underground weapons storage facilities using B-2 stealth bombers.

The use of “B-2 Spirit” to attack Yemen, which is in defense of the oppressed Palestinians and Lebanese in the fight against the Zionist regime, reveals Washington’s clear support for the occupiers of Jerusalem more than ever.

Al-Masira network had previously published reports of airstrikes around Sana’a, the capital of Yemen, as well as around Saada.

Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a Houthi political official, wrote on X that the attacks would “only increase our determination to continue our military operations in support of Gaza”.

The Houthis have repeatedly targeted commercial shipping in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden since November 2023. They have sunk two vessels, seized a third of targeted ships and killed crew members.

They say they are acting in support of the Palestinians in the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip. They have claimed – often falsely – that they are targeting ships only linked to Israel, the US or the UK.
