US lawmakers plan to block arms sales to Israel.
A group of American legislators are planning to introduce a plan to prevent the sale of arms to the Zionist regime in the midst of increasing protests against Washington’s policies towards Tel Aviv.

A group of legislators in the US House of Representatives is planning to introduce a plan that calls for preventing the sale of US weapons to Israel.

Ilhan Omar, Summer Lee, Delia Ramirez, Rashida Tlaib, Corey Bush, and Alexandria Ocasio Coates intend to announce their opposition to the transfer of $320 million worth of guided bombs to Israel by introducing this resolution.

Earlier this year, before the war between Hamas and the Zionist regime began on October 7, the Biden government and the Zionist regime reached an agreement on the aforementioned arms deal, and Congress did not object to the aforementioned plan at that time.

In an interview with Haaretz, Ilhan Omar said: “Benyamin Netanyahu and his extreme right-wing and sectarian government continue to commit crimes against humanity in Gaza.”

The Minnesota lawmaker added: “The United States already gives Israel $3.8 billion a year in military aid and has a great deal of influence over their actions.”

He added: “The duty of Congress is to monitor the sale of these weapons.” That is why we must not allow the sale of weapons that directly undermine American and international law, human rights, and our moral standing in the world.”

The introduction of this resolution represents only a part of the growing opposition to Joe Biden’s policies towards the regime. On Tuesday, it was reported that more than 400 political appointees and employees of the American government have sent a letter to Joe Biden, protesting his support for the Israeli regime in the Gaza war.

These officials, as reported by the New York Times on Tuesday, represent about 40 government agencies in the United States, and Biden was asked to call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and allow humanitarian aid to be sent to the region.

The letter that was sent on Tuesday was the second letter of protest to high-ranking American officials after the crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza.

In the days before, the American media reported that three internal protest memos were sent to Anthony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, which were signed by dozens of employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of that country.

A few days earlier, more than 1,000 employees of the US Agency for International Development had criticized Washington’s policies in an open letter.
