US: Lebanese government responsible for complete disarmament of Hezbollah.

According to Al Jazeera, the United States is one of the most important supporters of the Zionist regime in its aggression against Middle Eastern countries. Washington is now siding with the Zionist regime despite Tel Aviv’s repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon.

Accordingly, Morgan Ortagus, the US deputy special envoy for the Middle East, stressed the need to prevent the escalation of tensions in talks with Lebanese and Zionist officials.

The talks took place following Israel’s recent attack on Beirut, which Tel Aviv claimed was a response to Hezbollah rocket fire. However, the Lebanese Hezbollah movement has denied any involvement in the attack.

Ortagus said in statements published by Axios journalist Barak Rawid: “Israel is endangering the security of its citizens and national interests with these indiscriminate actions.”

He added: “The Lebanese government bears full responsibility for disarming armed groups, including Hezbollah, and we expect the Lebanese army to prevent such attacks from recurring.”

The American diplomat also claimed that the recent violation of the border ceasefire was committed by Lebanon, not Israel!

In the continuation of these talks, Ortagus also met with Zionist officials and, while emphasizing Washington’s support for Tel Aviv, called for refraining from provocative actions on the northern borders. This is while analysts evaluate this American stance as an attempt to prevent the spread of the conflict.

The border area between Lebanon and the occupied territories has become a focus of increasing tensions in recent months. The Lebanese Hezbollah movement has warned that it will respond harshly to the issue if the Zionist regime’s aggression continues. These tensions have increased while the international community is concerned about the outbreak of another war on the northern borders of the occupied territories with Lebanon.
