US military-biological activities in the Black Continent: From declared goals to covert policies.
Although US officials have openly confirmed the existence of 336 chemical and biological laboratories in 30 countries, observers believe that these numbers are misleading and the number of laboratories is far higher than the White House’s stated positions. Furthermore, the US’s stated goals for creating these laboratories, which are officially published, differ significantly from the goals behind the scenes.
Recently, Russia revealed the increase in US biological warfare in Africa, and Alexei Retishchev, deputy commander of the Russian Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Protection Forces, said that the Russian Defense Ministry has documents that show the increase in the presence of US biological warfare in Africa.
According to this Russian defense official, these documents show that the US biological presence in this continent is rapidly increasing. US Defense Department research institutions have an active presence in Africa. Branches of the US Navy National Military Medical Center are located in Ghana and Djibouti and are actively engaged in natural disease outbreaks, isolation, and transmission chains of pathogens.
He added that Kenya’s US Army Medical Center has established a network to monitor the spread of infectious diseases in Equatorial Africa. In Nigeria, the Joint Medical Research Center and a military medical laboratory were established in 2025, where 10 specialists from the US Department of Defense are permanently present. The Pentagon uses the infrastructure and capacity of African countries to conduct military-biological research.
