PNN – The warning to Trump by the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, the president’s senior military advisor, about the dangerous consequences of war with Iran was revealed by newspapers including Axios and the Washington Post, which leaked information from secret US government security and military meetings.

The Washington Post reported that Trump’s top general foresees grave risks in the event of an attack on Iran. The newspaper wrote: Gen. Kaine raised his concerns last week in a White House meeting with Trump and his top aides, warning that any major operation against Iran would face challenges because US ammunition stocks had been significantly depleted by Washington’s continued defense of Israel and support for Ukraine. Such talk had not been made before.

The American publication added: Kaine has also expressed concern about the scale of any attack on Iran, its inherent complexity and the possibility of high casualties for American forces. Iran’s threat to retaliate against any country that supports American operations has also raised concerns about Washington’s ability to obtain permission to fly over these countries.

In response to the disclosure of this warning and concern of the US Army Chief of Staff, Trump denied this revealed fact, this time by directly threatening the Iranian people, revealing his continued efforts to gain concessions from Iran through military threats.

He clarified: The numerous stories that have been published in the fake media that General Daniel Kane is against our war with Iran are 100 percent false. I am the one who makes the final decision. If we do not reach an agreement, it will be a very bad day for that country and for its people.

Jason Campbell, a senior fellow at the American think tank the Middle East Institute, also warned: The US attack will neither cause a collapse in Iran nor force Iran to make concessions.

Jason Campbell added: Iran’s ability to fire a large volume of ballistic missiles has a huge impact on assessing the sustainability of any new operation because the United States consumed about 100 THAAD missiles during the 12-day war, but after that, by the end of 2025, it was only able to replace them with 12 or 13 THAAD missiles, and it seems that it will be able to produce the same amount in 2026.

Meanwhile, new polls in the United States indicate that the people of this country are also very concerned about the consequences of Trump’s war-mongering against Iran, including a poll by Quinnipiac University in the United States, which shows that 7 out of 10 Americans oppose the United States entering a war with Iran.
