PNN – According to an American official, the president of this country will impose devastating sanctions against Russia next week.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whittaker announced in an interview with Newsmax that President Donald Trump will target Russia with devastating sanctions on August 8.

He also claimed that Russia has no friends and business partners.

According to this American official, these sanctions will have significant effects on China, India, and Brazil (buyers of Russian oil).

US President Donald Trump has previously said that regardless of the impact of the sanctions on Russia, he will impose sanctions on Moscow after a 10-day deadline to end the war in Ukraine.

Trump said: We plan to impose sanctions. I don’t know if the sanctions will bother him (Vladimir Putin). They know about these sanctions. I know better than anyone about sanctions and tariffs and everything else. I don’t know if they have any effect or not but we are going to do it.

He added: But this is a war that should never have happened. If I were the president, this war would not have started. This war is Biden’s (former president) war. A stupid war that we should never have entered into.

The US President said last Monday that he was disappointed with Russia and the progress of the peace agreement and reduced the deadline to 10-12 days. John Kelly, US acting representative to the United Nations, says that Trump believes that Russia and Ukraine should reach a peace agreement by August 8.

Previously, the Kremlin announced that it is closely monitoring the statements of the American president and will continue with special military operations in Ukraine until its goals are achieved.
