PNN – The results of a new poll showed that Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate in the 2024 presidential election, is ahead of Donald Trump, the Republican candidate and the former president of the United States, in Pennsylvania, which is a key state in the path to the White House.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Newsweek wrote: The results of a USA Today and Suffolk University poll show that Harris has a 48.6 percent to 45.6 percent lead among likely voters in the state over his Republican rival, Trump.
This is the best result in Pennsylvania polls this month and one of the best results for Harris since President Joe Biden withdrew from the race and was endorsed as the Democratic nominee on July 21.
The results showed that Harris has a significant advantage over Trump among female voters in Pennsylvania, leading Trump by 56 percent to 39 percent.
But Trump had a clear lead among male voters in the state; So that 53% of male voters said they preferred him and 41% supported Harris.
According to Newsweek, the results of the poll could be hopeful for the Harris campaign because the 19 electoral colleges in Pennsylvania could play a key role in Harris’ victory in the November election.
The recent survey was conducted with a margin of error of 4.4% and from a small sample of 500 potential voters.
Two separate USA Today and Suffolk polls also contained good news for Harris in Erie and Northampton counties, where the results of the polls have been able to predict the winner of the election since 2008.
The poll showed Trump trailing Harris by 5 points in Northampton County and 4 points in Erie County.
Biden won the 2020 election in these two counties in Pennsylvania with a margin of one percentage point.
All these polls were conducted after the first election debate between Harris and Biden, and most pollsters and experts believe that Harris won this debate.
A new average of polls compiled by RailClear Politics showed Harris leading Trump by a narrow 0.2 percentage points in Pennsylvania as of Monday.
The average survey of the FiveThirtyEight Institute – which does not include the USA Today and Suffolk University polls – shows that 50 days before the presidential election in the United States, Harris is ahead of Trump by 0.7 percentage points in this key state.
