US Secretary of State: The UN should return to its mission of stopping wars!
According to Al Jazeera, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in an interview with the American website Breitpart, referred to the US vote against the anti-Russia UN resolution, calling the resolution hostile and saying that the UN should return to its main mission, which is to end wars and conflicts.
He continued in the interview that Trump is seeking to end the war between Russia and Ukraine and that there should be no hostile action against either side in the UN.
Rubio noted that Russian officials have announced that they are seeking to end the conflict under the right conditions, but these conditions have not yet been reviewed.
He pointed out that the next step is to hold a meeting with the Russian side, emphasizing that the steps that Russia will take to stop the war must be determined.
The US Secretary of State said that he would also talk to the Ukrainians about ending the conflict because this would not happen if both sides did not want to stop the war.
On the other hand, the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal also wrote, quoting a former Pentagon official, that Ukraine could continue the war until next summer without US weapons support and would probably not be able to use some of its advanced weapons without this support.
This is while the American newspaper, quoting a senior advisor to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, wrote that stopping US military aid is considered the worst-case scenario.
