US seeks to transfer long-range missiles to CENTCOM bases

CENTCOM

PNN – American media reported that the United States is transferring almost all of its stock of long-range JASSM-ER stealth missiles from within the United States and other regions to CENTCOM bases.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Bloomberg news outlet reported Saturday evening, citing an unnamed informed source: In the wake of the US attack on Iran, the US is set to use almost its entire global stockpile of JASSM-ER stealth cruise missiles, requiring a massive redirection of stockpiles that were initially allocated to other regions.

The source told Bloomberg: In late March, an order was issued to remove the $1.5 million precision weapons from Pacific Command headquarters.

He added: These stealth cruise missiles, currently deployed within the US and other global installations, will be moved to US Central Command (CENTCOM) bases and RAF Fairford in the UK.

Bloomberg emphasized: After these transfers, only about 425 JASSM-ERs will be available to the rest of the world out of a total of 2,300 pre-war inventory.

This informed source also said: The JASSM-ER, or Joint Air-to-Surface Missile with Extended Range, can fly more than 600 miles. Also, in addition to the shorter-range JASSM, which has a range of about 250 miles, about two-thirds of the US stockpile is dedicated to the war against Iran.

On February 28, while indirect talks with the American side were underway, the United States and the Zionist regime attacked the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran in an act of aggression.

Following these attacks, a number of political and military officials, nuclear scientists, and even numerous civilians and students were martyred. In response and in an act of self-defense, Iran targeted specific targets in the occupied territories and American bases in the region under the name of Operation True Promise 4.
