PNN – Amid the increase in US military equipment in the Middle East on the orders of President Donald Trump, a US senator stressed that war with Iran would not help Washington.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen asked the following question on the social network X, referring to the US experience in the war in Iraq: Have we forgotten what happened in Iraq?
Van Hollen pointed to the high casualties and exorbitant costs incurred by the United States during its military presence in Iraq, adding: More than 8,000 Americans and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians were killed, and trillions of dollars were spent.
The Democratic senator emphasized: No one has explained how a war with Iran would help America, because it wouldn’t help.
As the second round of Geneva talks concluded, warmongering lobbies, both in the US ruling body and in Tel Aviv and other parts of the world, began a new round of pressure to influence the US President’s decisions.
However, the third round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States has begun in Geneva, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a responsible country, has participated in the negotiations with maximum insight, courage, and seriousness to end an unnecessary crisis on the nuclear issue.
