PNN – The U.S. State Department has approved the sale of maintenance equipment for Ukraine’s Patriot air-defense systems.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing the Kyiv Post, the State Department has agreed to provide logistical support for Ukraine’s Patriot systems, valued at 105 million dollars.

In a statement, the Pentagon’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency said that Kyiv had requested technical services, spare parts, and equipment, including upgrades to M901 launchers to bring them up to the M903 standard.

The statement noted that the estimated cost of the package is about 105 million dollars, adding that the sale aligns with U.S. foreign-policy and national-security goals and will strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities.

Under U.S. law, Congress has 30 days to review the deal and, if necessary, block it.

The United States had paused weapons shipments to Kyiv in an effort to encourage Russia to enter negotiations. After talks between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin failed to end the war in Ukraine, arms deliveries have resumed.
