US State Department: We are not looking to start a war against Yemen.
The US State Department claimed on Tuesday evening that the US is not at war with Yemen’s Ansarullah group and has no intention of going to war with them.
On Tuesday, Samuel Warburg, the regional spokesman of the US State Department, repeated baseless claims against the Islamic Republic of Iran and claimed: “The Houthis (Ansarullah) are targeting global commercial ships.” We want the Houthis to be responsible for their actions.”
He continued: “Israeli ships are not the only target of the Houthis. They are targeting all international commercial ships and we do not intend to go to war with the Yemenis, but we are taking measures to hold the Houthis (Ansarullah of Yemen) accountable.”
The United States, which has formed a military coalition to counter the operations of the Yemeni army in the Red Sea, this morning, together with the UK and other allies, targeted positions in the territory of Yemen.
“Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi”, a senior member of the political office of Yemen’s Ansarullah Movement, said today that “the Yemeni army will respond to the attacks of the United States and England.” It is impossible to remain silent in the face of US and Israeli aggression.
The senior member of Ansarullah added that the Yemeni army will continue its attacks on Israeli ships, and the responses to the aggression against the Gaza Strip will continue, and Sana’a will only listen to the call of human conscience.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces, said this morning in response to the large-scale attacks of the American coalition on various areas of Yemen that these aggressions will not go unanswered.
