US to Israel: We prefer ceasefire in Gaza to military operation

PNN – Sources in the Israeli cabinet revealed that the US government sent a clear message to Tel Aviv, emphasizing that on the eve of the country’s president’s visit to the region, it prefers a ceasefire in Gaza and refraining from carrying out any large-scale military operation.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Ma’ariv newspaper, citing sources in the Israeli cabinet, announced that the United States has sent a clear message to the Israeli regime, emphasizing that it prefers a ceasefire in Gaza instead of launching a new military operation.

According to the report, the sources said that under such circumstances, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would have difficulty opposing Trump’s demands.

According to these sources, some officials believe that Netanyahu’s cabinet has lost a lot of time and that it is virtually impossible to begin a military maneuver in Gaza before Trump arrives.

The sources also said that the US government has asked the Israeli regime not to take any surprise military action on the eve of the country’s president’s visit to the region.

According to Ma’ariv’s report, concerns have arisen in Israeli political circles that Trump may, during his trip to the Middle East, put pressure on Netanyahu to accept a peace plan that does not fully meet Tel Aviv’s demands.

Previously, media sources had announced that the Israeli regime had set the end of Trump’s visit to the region as its deadline for a new prisoner release and ceasefire agreement, and announced that it would launch a large-scale ground operation if a new agreement was not reached.

In this regard, Steve Whitakoff, the US presidential envoy to the region, said on Monday that he hopes that progress will be made in efforts to reach such an agreement before or during Trump’s visit.

He said: I hope we make progress in this area. I hope we release all the hostages (Zionist prisoners in Gaza). I talk almost every day with Qatar, Egypt and Israel. The US president wants to release the hostages. The Israeli prime minister wants to release the hostages. We are working in coordination.
