Using AI to cancel visas of foreign students supporting Hamas

PNN – The American media outlet Axios reported, citing American officials that the US State Department plans to use artificial intelligence to identify and revoke the visas of foreign students who support Hamas.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the program, called “Catch and Revoke,” will use artificial intelligence to review the user accounts of tens of thousands of foreign students on social networks.

A White House official had previously announced that US President Donald Trump would sign an executive order to combat anti-Semitism and pledge to deport foreign students and other immigrant residents who participated in pro-Palestinian protests.

A report of the executive order states that Trump is directing the Justice Department to “vigorously prosecute terrorist threats, arson, vandalism, and violence against American Jews.”

Trump said in the order: To all immigrants who join pro-jihadi demonstrations, we are warning you that in 2025, we will find you and deport you. I will also quickly revoke the student visas of all Hamas supporters at universities that have been rife with extremism in the past.

In this executive order, the US President orders federal agencies to take action to expel anti-Semitic activists from the United States, including students.

Many universities, especially Columbia University in New York City, became sites of pro-Palestinian protests during the war between the Israeli regime and Hamas.

The students involved called on their universities to cut off their financial ties with Israel and for the United States to end its military support for Israel.
