Stating that there is criminal responsibility for those who order and carry out attacks on ships, he said: US attacks on ships in the Caribbean Sea are not only a threat to Venezuela, but also a threat to all of humanity and the UN system.

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister denied any bilateral conflict with the United States, adding: We have no conflict with the United States. We are a free and independent country that is defending itself against unilateral aggression by a nuclear power.

He described the US actions against Venezuela as an attempt to suppress a free nation and plunder its resources, and said: We will pursue political, defense, human rights, and legal actions at the United Nations.
