PNN – Venezuela’s oil minister said the country will never again become a colony of any empire or foreign power.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Russia Today, Delcy Rodríguez, Venezuela’s vice president and oil minister, said in a statement that remarks by US President Donald Trump revealed Washington’s “true intention” to seize Venezuela’s oil, land, and mineral resources.
Rejecting claims that Caracas had stolen US assets, she added that Trump’s move to blockade Venezuela constitutes a violation of international law, free trade, and freedom of navigation.

Trump pressured Caracas to control Venezuela’s oil and gold, according to the Washington Times.
The Venezuelan oil minister stressed that Trump assumes Venezuela’s oil, land, and minerals belong to him and, on that basis, is attempting to plunder the country’s wealth through a naval blockade.
Rodríguez described Washington’s actions as part of a broad campaign of lies and manipulation aimed at justifying the seizure of Venezuela’s natural resources.
Noting that Caracas has always been exposed to Washington’s hegemonic ambitions, she said Venezuela will never again be a colony of any empire or foreign power.
The Venezuelan official stated that Caracas will pursue its rights to preserve sovereignty over its natural resources and ensure freedom of trade and navigation in the Caribbean and beyond, in accordance with international law, the constitution, and the UN Charter.
On Tuesday, the US president announced a complete naval blockade of Venezuela and declared that all oil tankers carrying the country’s oil would be subject to seizure.
