PNN – An American newspaper acknowledged Iran’s military power, especially its missile power, to respond to any possible aggression from the United States.

In response to threats against Iran, the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal published an article and referred to Iran’s military power, writing that the country has an arsenal of thousands of missiles and has changed its tactical methods for using these missiles. Iran has about 2,000 medium-range ballistic missiles capable of reaching occupied territories and also has significant stockpiles of short-range missiles.

According to the report, despite the 12-day war, Iran still has the military power to inflict real damage on the United States and its allies in the Middle East. The country has a significant stockpile of short-range missiles capable of reaching US bases in the Persian Gulf and ships in the Strait of Hormuz. The country also has a significant stockpile of anti-ship cruise missiles and torpedo boats, as well as drones.

The report says any US attack could escalate quickly. According to the Council on Foreign Relations, the US has about 24 ground military installations from Turkey to Kuwait and about 40,000 troops in the region.

Military analysts say that in the event of a military aggression, Iran would likely target US positions close to the country’s coast to use its vast stockpile of short-range missiles.

This is despite the fact that Tehran has always stated that Iran’s missile capabilities will be used to defend the country against any aggression by other countries and will never initiate any war.
