Wall Street Journal: Hamas humiliates Israel at prisoner release ceremony.
Citing Al Jazeera, the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal wrote that the Hamas resistance movement wants to convey this message to the whole world, which still controls the Gaza Strip. According to the report, this message is being conveyed through the method of handing over and releasing Israeli prisoners, which Hamas has turned into a humiliating scene for the Zionist regime.
The American newspaper added that Hamas began this method with the release of the first Israeli prisoners, and a large crowd gathered next to the Hamas vehicles carrying the Israeli prisoners.
The report referred to the release of two Israeli prisoners in front of the destroyed house of Yahya Sinwar, the martyred head of the Hamas political bureau, and the release of a third, and wrote that Hamas is trying to turn the release of each prisoner into a complex event that portrays its power and the humiliation of the enemy, and in this way can threaten obstacles in the fragile ceasefire process.
Yossi Koberwasser, former head of the Israeli military intelligence service’s research department, said that Hamas is trying to present the images of each prisoner’s release as a theatrical scene.
The American newspaper stated that Israelis were shocked when they saw on their television screens a large crowd of Palestinians gathered at the prisoner release site.
The images of the exchange last weekend also angered the Zionists. A placard placed at the ceremony site for this purpose stated that “Jabalia is the grave of the Jiphate Special Unit.”
