Wall Street Journal: US provides intelligence assistance to Ukrainian attacks on Russian infrastructure.
The American newspaper, citing unnamed US government officials, wrote that Washington had already provided intelligence to Kyiv, but this new decision would make it easier for Ukraine to attack refineries, oil pipelines, power plants, and other Russian infrastructure.
The report added that US officials are urging their NATO allies to provide similar support to Ukraine.
The Wall Street Journal report comes as US President Donald Trump recently said that Ukraine could take back all the territory lost to Russia.
US Vice President JD Vance also confirmed this week that Washington is considering a Ukrainian request to provide long-range Tomahawk missiles to Kyiv.
The US president has been seeking peace between Russia and Ukraine for months, but has not been successful. He has expressed his dissatisfaction with the situation and criticized Russia in recent weeks.
Trump has so far rejected Ukraine’s requests to provide Kyiv with long-range missiles, but in recent days, the media has reported a change in this approach.
With a range of up to 2,500 kilometers and a warhead weighing 450 kilograms (922 pounds), the Tomahawk missile has capabilities far beyond any long-range system that Ukraine has received from its Western allies.
