PNN – The Military Affairs website, after reviewing images of Israeli jets, wrote that it appears that these jets are carrying cluster munitions.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the American website War Zone wrote: The Israeli Air Force has released a picture of F-16I fighter jets that participated in attacks against Iran, and it appears that these jets are carrying cluster munitions.

According to the report, three days before the image was released, Iranian officials accused the United States of using BLU-91/B aerial mines, which are delivered via cluster bombs. This appears likely to be part of a limited regional strategy to prevent the launch of long-range missiles.

The munitions in the image appear to have flat noses with prominent fuses protruding from the center, as well as relatively straight bodies and flat tail ends. These features are consistent with typical aerial cluster munitions, particularly American types that use various types of “tactical munitions dispersants.”

Israel also has, or at least has had, other aerial cluster munitions in its arsenal. The Israeli Air Force used Cold War-era CBU-58/B cluster bombs during its intervention in Lebanon in 2006. Israel has also received Raki cluster bombs from the United States in the past.
