Washington asked Tel Aviv to be “transparent” about targeting UNRWA school in Gaza.

The army of the occupying regime confirmed that it carried out a “fatal” airstrike on the UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees) school in the center of Gaza, which they claimed was a “complex belonging to Hamas”.

In a statement, the occupying army claimed: “Warplanes carried out a precise attack targeting a Hamas compound inside the UNRWA school in the Nusirat area, and a number of Hamas forces were killed.”

In this regard, Miller blindly supported the Zionist regime, claiming that the United States believes that “Israeli assessments show that Hamas sometimes uses civilian infrastructure as a hideout” but is waiting for more information about the latest attack.

“We’ve seen claims that 14 children were killed in this attack, and certainly when you see — if that information is accurate — that 14 children were killed, then these are not terrorists,” he said.

On Thursday, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres condemned the Israeli attack on the UNRWA school in the Nusirat refugee camp in the center of the Gaza Strip.

This was said by UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric at a press conference, in which he answered a question about whether or not Guterres condemned the attack.

Dujarric noted that the occupation’s attack on the school is a terrifying new indicator of the price civilians are paying in Gaza.

He explained that the targeted school was a shelter that provided basic services to civilians.

Pointing out that there is no safe place in the Gaza Strip, Dujarric said that about 300,000 children who are provided with education by UNRWA are deprived of the right to education because the schools have become shelters for civilians.

Regarding the Zionist regime’s claim that Hamas fighters were present in the targeted school, Dujarric said: What I can say is that this attack took the lives of many civilians and children.

Earlier, the state media office in the Gaza Strip announced that the number of Palestinian martyrs as a result of the killing of the Zionist army and the targeting of a school housing refugees in the Nusirat camp on Thursday morning has reached more than 40 people.

The government office in Gaza added: Among the martyrs are 14 children and 9 women, while 74 displaced people, including 23 children and 18 women, were injured.
