Washington: Iran must stop enrichment and weapons program!
According to the US State Department, US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce reiterated the claim of Steve Whittaker, US President Donald Trump’s special envoy on Iran, in her press conference, and said that Iran must stop and eliminate its enrichment and weapons program!
Bruce said: Steve Whittaker had talks with the Iranian Foreign Minister, which were hosted by the Foreign Minister of Oman. As explained in the White House statement, “The talks were very positive and constructive, and the parties agreed to meet again on Saturday next week.”
He added: “Our goal remains clear.” According to Whittaker, “The agreement with Iran will only be finalized when Trump approves it. Any final arrangement must provide a framework for peace, stability, and prosperity in the Middle East (West Asia), and that means Iran must stop and eliminate its nuclear enrichment program as well as its weapons program. Creating a strong agreement that is fair and sustainable is imperative for the world, and that is what President Trump has asked me to do.”
Bruce added: “What I can say is that the Secretary, as well as the President and Whitaker, have made it clear that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon or an enrichment program.”
The State Department spokesman continued: “There is a goal, and that is that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon or an enrichment program. And I think that is a very easy place to start, and we know that they are working on it.”
The absurd claims by US officials about Iran’s suspension of enrichment to carry out peaceful nuclear activities come at a time when Tehran has repeatedly stated that it will not bow to the excessive demands of Western and American parties.
