Washington Post: It is possible to stop sending all US military aid to Ukraine

PNN – The Washington Post reported in a report, quoting a senior official of President Donald Trump’s administration, who asked not to be named, that the Trump administration is considering stopping all military aid to Ukraine.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Washington Post reported: Examining the suspension of all military aid from Washington to Kyiv could be a response to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s statements in the Oval Office of the White House and a reaction to his stubbornness in the process of establishing peace between Moscow and Kyiv.

Meanwhile, the CNN news channel also wrote in a report quoting American officials who asked not to be named: Currently, there is no danger of stopping the sending of US military aid to Ukraine, and although the Trump administration has no plans to announce an increase in aid to Ukraine, this aid is still being sent from Washington to Kiev.

According to CNN, although Trump has not announced any new military supplies to Ukraine, the weapons and equipment that were announced to be sent to Kiev during the administration of former US President Joe Biden are still being sent to Ukraine.

According to the CNN report, according to many American officials, there are no signs of an imminent change in the US policy on sending military aid after the tension and verbal conflict between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office of the White House.

According to CNN, in addition to the aid that has been approved by the Biden administration, there are also many long-term contracts between American arms manufacturers and the government of this country regarding the delivery of weapons systems to Ukraine that have already been signed.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House turned into a verbal conflict due to sharp differences over how to achieve peace with Russia, and Zelensky left the White House prematurely. Trump accused Zelensky of “disrespecting the United States” and said he was not ready for peace.

German Chancellor Olaf Schultz also emphasized: No one wants peace more than Ukrainians. We are working on a common path for a lasting and just peace. Ukraine can count on the help of Germany and Europe.

Ursula von der Leyen, the head of the European Commission, also emphasized the EU’s support for Ukraine and said to Zelensky: You showed the courage of the Ukrainian people with your dignity.

By publishing a message on X, he wrote: President Zelensky, be strong, be brave, be fearless. You are never alone. We will continue to work with you to establish a just and lasting peace.

Also, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, after the tense meeting and verbal dispute between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, announced his support for Kyiv and emphasized: We will stand by Ukraine and the people of this country.

Trudeau wrote in a message on his user account on the X social network (formerly twitter): For three years now, Ukrainians have fought with courage and perseverance.

The Prime Minister of Canada went on to say that the struggle of the Ukrainian people for democracy, freedom and self-sovereignty is a struggle that is important for all of us. Canada will stand by Ukraine and the people of this country to achieve a just and sustainable peace.

These developments reflect growing tensions in transatlantic relations and European concerns about a change in US approach to the Ukraine war. European leaders will meet in London on Sunday to discuss the future of the war in Ukraine and the security of this continent.
