Washington: We expect Iran to initiate negotiations; Trump is in no hurry!
According to Fox News, US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce claimed that President Donald Trump still prefers diplomacy with Iran and expects Tehran to initiate negotiations.
Referring to the US aggression against Iran and the attack on the country’s nuclear facilities, the US State Department spokesperson claimed, “The president expressed his willingness to negotiate from the beginning, before the action that we were forced to take and after that!”
He claimed, “He believed and still believes that diplomacy works in this issue. Iran knows its options at this point.”
The US diplomat added, “The president has said that the ball is in their court and that we are in no hurry, but we are willing to negotiate, and that has been our position from the beginning, and we have shown that and the Iranians know our position.”
He claimed, “The president is patient, the government is patient. He expects them to start negotiations because it is in their interest.”
