PNN – The American aerospace magazine reported that several American terrorist army planes were damaged and shot down in the war with Iran.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the publication acknowledged on Monday, citing informed officials, that 20 US Air Force aircraft were damaged or destroyed in the three-week war with Iran.
A U.S. Air Force F-35 pilot was also injured by shrapnel during a combat mission over Iran on March 19 when his plane was targeted by ground fire.
Although the US Central Command (CENTCOM) did not provide details, it is likely that it was hit by a surface-to-air missile, given the altitude at which the F-35 typically flies. A Central Command spokesman declined to comment when asked about the incident.
Iran has developed air defense systems that can use passive infrared sensors instead of radar for targeting, a strategy that was previously effective in shooting down about half a dozen MQ-9 Reapers during operations in Yemen last year.
