What dreams have Kalin and Fidan had for Hamas?

These days, newspapers and media outlets close to the ruling party in Turkey are regularly talking about the fact that Ankara has taken on new roles in the diplomatic equations of the region.

Since these statements coincide with Trump’s remarks about the possibility of a compromise and agreement between the Zionist regime and Hamas, speculations have been raised about a secret scenario.

A scenario in which Erdogan has entrusted MIT intelligence chief İbrahim Kalın and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan with an important mission to pave the way for a new agreement in Gaza.

During a recent visit by one of Hamas’s top leaders to Turkey, İbrahim Kalın discussed ways to reach a lasting agreement and discussed the conditions under which Hamas fighters might lay down their weapons.

Interestingly, Turkey’s official Anadolu Agency announced that to maintain security measures, the MIT chief’s meeting with the Hamas delegation was held in a secret location.

Some media outlets have also reported that Hamas Political Council Chairman Mohammad Darwish and his delegation quickly left Turkey after meeting with Kalin.

Media outlets close to the Erdogan government have only indicated that the meeting discussed the dimensions of the humanitarian disaster in Gaza and Turkey’s efforts to end the war and “ensure the immediate delivery of aid” to the region. However, the Ankara-based Suzcu newspaper reported that the Hamas delegation’s visit to Turkey came after US President Donald Trump expressed optimism about an agreement and ceasefire between the Israeli regime and Hamas.
