PNN – The leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), at the conclusion of their meeting today in Manama, issued a statement emphasizing that any violation of the sovereignty of any member country is considered a direct threat to their collective security.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting Al-Khaleej Online, the GCC leaders, at the end of today’s meeting hosted by Bahrain, issued a statement highlighting cooperation among member countries in technology and digital transformation.

The GCC leaders also called for respect for the sovereignty of the six member countries and emphasized that any violation of the sovereignty of any member is a direct threat to their collective security.

The statement stressed the necessity of ending the suffering of the Palestinian people.

It also referred to strengthening trade and tourism, encouraging investment in strategic projects, and continuing economic development and technological progress.

The GCC leaders further emphasized enhancing digital infrastructure and facilitating e-commerce.

They also considered support for the development of joint systems for digital payments and cloud services necessary.

The statement highlighted the continuation of economic diversification and strengthening an innovation- and sustainability-based economy, emphasizing environmental responsibility and promoting clean and renewable energy projects.

It stated: “We emphasize ensuring full adherence to the provisions of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid, and rebuilding the Gaza Strip. We stress strengthening efforts to establish an independent and sovereign Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the two-state solution.”

The GCC member states also emphasized the need to work toward a Middle East free of nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction.

The statement underscored the importance of respecting the sovereignty of GCC member states and regional countries and opposing interference in their internal affairs or the use of force or threats against them.

The member countries emphasized the need to continue coordination in political, security, economic, and social fields among themselves, which strengthens the security, stability, and prosperity of the region.

The GCC leaders also highlighted the outcomes of the Sharm El-Sheikh summit on consolidating political, security, and economic partnerships with friendly countries and international organizations, and on strengthening cooperation in combating extremism and terrorism.
