What scenarios are on the table at the summit of Arab and Islamic leaders in Doha?

Referring to the summit of Arab and Islamic leaders to be held in Doha today, Al Jazeera News Network’s website wrote that the Arab and Islamic world is eager to see how the summit will differ from previous summits before the summit is held and after the Israeli regime attacks Qatar.

The media added: Doha is determined that this summit will not be similar to previous summits and that practical positions will be adopted.

Al Jazeera continued by discussing the scenarios proposed in the Doha summit, including condemnation and expression of disgust, expectation of a normalization process, severing economic, trade, and cultural relations, an international campaign to condemn the Israeli regime, pressure on Tel Aviv’s allies, activating joint Arab and Islamic defense, supporting Qatar’s mediation efforts, and stopping the Gaza war.

This news source described the option of stopping the normalization process as an effective and painful lever for the Israeli regime, especially since the regime has based part of its strategy in the region on strengthening and expanding the normalization process in the region.

Al Jazeera also wrote about the option of cutting off economic, commercial and cultural relations, which includes boycotting the Israeli regime and the companies that cooperate with it, and could place Tel Aviv under economic siege, including closing the way for ships bound for the occupied territories and canceling economic agreements signed between some Arab and Islamic countries and this regime, and if successful, it would have a strong impact on its economy.

The network considered the international campaign to condemn the Zionist regime important, considering the positions of leading countries and politicians in the world from North America to Europe and Africa, and the wave of opposition to the actions of this regime, and considered the option of putting pressure on Tel Aviv’s allies, including the United States, to be important.

Al Jazeera also mentioned the scenario of activating joint Arab and Islamic defense, referring to Israel’s recent attacks on Yemen, Iran, and Qatar: This includes strengthening security cooperation to confront common threats and protect territory and airspace, especially including confronting any violation of the airspace of Arab and Islamic countries.

The Arabic-language media outlet continued: “Undoubtedly, Arab and Islamic countries have many levers in this regard, and in this regard, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani said that Arab and Islamic countries have many levers of pressure that they can use to stop the Israeli attacks, which will not end with Qatar.” Al-Jazeera added: “In any case, Arab and Islamic countries are eagerly awaiting decisions that can be implemented effectively, including applying international pressure to stop the Zionist regime’s aggression and stop the famine and starvation process in Gaza, opening the Rafah crossing, applying international pressure to allow humanitarian aid to enter this area under Arab and Islamic military protection, and starting the process of rebuilding Gaza.”
