PNN – Iraqi sources reacted to news of shooting inside Baghdad airport.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Sputnik, the management of Baghdad International Airport denied reports from some media outlets and social networks on Sunday that gunfire was heard inside the airport.
The Baghdad Airport Management statement said: Reports from some media outlets and social media about the sound of gunfire being heard at Baghdad International Airport are not accurate and it is possible that these sounds were coming from outside the airport area.

The statement continued: Flights are operating normally without any delays or stoppages.
The statement also called on the media to be careful and cautious in publishing news and to obtain news from official sources.
Meanwhile, the Iraqi state-owned airline also denied reports that one of its planes made an emergency landing at Baghdad International Airport.
The company’s statement said that the incident in question involved another airline and had nothing to do with Iraqi Airways.
Sputnik reported: Iraqi media reports indicate that a policeman shot himself inside the international airport. An Iraqi security source said that the policeman used an M4 rifle and was seriously injured.
